(don’t cost anything)
I want to thank everyone that has helped me with this book. I have listened to your wisdom, and I have used it in the writing of this book. And I want to thank everyone that takes the time to read it and send in the comment sheet. By sending in the comment sheet, you will be helping me visualize the future, of this book and my business.
Individuals who have helped me:
I would like to thank my family for supporting me up until now. I am going to be ready to give back to you guys soon. Without you, I don’t know where I would be. And thank you also for helping me pay for college. It was all worth it.
I would like to thank Libby. She brings me happiness every day. The love that we share is the foundation of everything that I have gained while being with you. I love you so much J.
I would like to thank Maurice Richter. Maurice Richter has been a Sociology professor at SUNY for the last half a decade. Ara introduced me to him about 2 years ago, and he has been a continued source of knowledge and insight since then. We are currently working on an independent together. An independent study is an original piece of research. I consider this book an original piece of literature, from all sources of information that I have acquired thus far on my journey. Thank you Richter for helping me achieve what I was looking for. You have truly been a teacher I will never forget.
I have to thank Molly. We did a lot of growing up together. We took our first steps into the world on our own together. And we have survived. You have been such a powerful force in my life, and you will always be. Now we are older, with all the wisdom we have learned together in the last five years, we are ready be make it in this world that has been so hard on us. We spent the hardest years of our lives together, because we were in a world that we didn’t know enough about. It is going to be different from now on. And I want to repay you for everything that you did for me, you helped me stay alive.
John Becker. Just talking to this man has made me more wise. He has taught me so much in the very little time I have been privileged to spend with him.
William Deptolski. My good friend for many years. Despite living in separate states, we have been able to remain friends over the years. Always a source of insight into what life is dealing us.
Sarah Coon. Sarah has been a consent positive force in my life. She is always there for me and she always makes time to do something fun. She has taught me so much, she has been a wonderful older sister.
I want to thank Steve Hall and Joel Fishman. These are the gentlemen that got me into the Primerica business. They showed me the business opportunity that I never had before. This business would not be if it were not for these guys.
I want to thank David Wagner for accepting me into the GPRO program. The Group Process Research Office is where I printed the early versions of this book.
I want to thank Joann Murray, my Reality USA agent. She has been helping me look at houses for the past few weeks. She has made the process of looking at houses so much easier then I thought it would be. Thanks Joann.
I would like to thank the Young Socialists for taking their time to talk with me and for letting me join the party. I have never met a bunch of people that I have agreed with more then you guys. We think alike, and I want to continue working with you to keep fighting for worker’s rights.
I want to thank all of my teachers for everything that you have done for me. Teaching is such a wonderful thing to do, and I have had many great teachers along the way. I also want to mention all of my previous employers, even thou you ripped me off for the amount of work I did for you, you taught me all the skills I need to do it myself. Now it is my turn, and I am going to do it right. I am not going to rip anyone off, it can be done, you will see.
I want to thank all the people that have talked with me about this book, who gave me ideas and insight into everything that is explored in this book. I want to thank everyone for reading the first edition and giving me your input on it. I could not do it with out all of you.
Peter's Laws- I have gotten a lot of inspiration from these laws.
(The Creed of the Sociopathic Obsessive Compulsive)
1. If anything can go wrong, fix it! (To hell with Murphy!)
2. When given a choice, take both.
3. Multiple projects lead to multiple successes.
4. Start at the top and work your way up.
5. Do it by the book... but be the author.
6. When forced to compromise, ask for more.
7. If you can't beat them, join them, and then beat them.
8. If it's worth doing, it's got to be done now!
9. If you can't win, change the rules.
10. If you can't change the rules, then ignore them.
11. Perfection is not optional.
12. When faced without a challenge, make one.
13. "No" simply means begin again at one level higher.
14. Don't walk when you can run.
15 .Bureaucracy is a challenge to be conquered with a righteous attitude, a tolerance for stupidity, and a bulldozer when necessary.
16. When in doubt, THINK!
17. Patience is a virtue, but persistence to the point of success is a blessing.
18. The squeaky wheel gets replaced.
19. The faster you move, the slower time passes, the longer you live!
